14. Rachel Leona Turner was born on 18 January 1917 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 9 March 1997 at the age of 80 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, USA. Rachel Leona Robinson, 80, died Sunday at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor.
Born on Swan's Island, the daughter of Freddy and Flora Sellars Turner, she attended island schools and worked as a housekeeper there before marrying Curtis I. Robinson. They had been married 55 years when he died in 1994.
Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker. She and her husband moved to the Boothbay Region in the 1940s. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and the Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Susannas, Circle Three and the Mother's Club.
Surviving are a son, Wayne Robinson of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, Kenneth Turner of Swan's Island; two sisters, Marjorie Stinson and Bernice Carlson, both of Swan's Island; two granddaughters, Beth Bibber of Boothbay and Lainie Miller of Florida; and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Simmons & Harrington Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church with the Rev. Allan Wells-Goodwin officiating, followed by a reception at the church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, in Boothbay.

Rachel Leona Turner and Curtis I. Robinson were married about 1939. Curtis I. Robinson, son of Edward Fernando Robinson and Irene A. Conners, was born on 18 June 1918. He died on 6 March 1994 at the age of 75.
