Rockland: Mrs. Beatrice E. Simmons, 82, of Rockland, formerly of Swan's Island, died Tuesday, Jan 16, 1979, at a Rockport hospital following a long illness. She was the widow of Elbridge G. Simmons. She was born at Swan's Island, Jan 20, 1896, the daughter of Addison and Minnie (Gott) Parker. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. David (Shirley) Post of Spruce Head, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Joyce, and Mrs. Richard (Beatrice) Lemoine, both of Swan's Island, Mrs. William (Beverly) French of Bangor and Mrs. Joyce Knight of Lincolnville; a brother, Charles Parker of Cape Elizabeth; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; a niece and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 from the Swan's Island Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Flo Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. She was buried on 20 January 1979 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Beatrice Edna Parker and Clarence Milton Hennigar were married on 20 June 1914. They had their marriage annulled about 1915. Clarence Milton Hennigar, son of Angus Hennigar and Evie Myers, was born on 20 August 1895 in Vinalhaven, Knox County, Maine, USA.

Beatrice Edna Parker and Elbridge Gilbert Simmons were married on 30 September 1920 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Elbridge Gilbert Simmons, son of Gilbert Simmons and Annie M. Elliott, was born on 1 March 1897 in Friendship, Knox County, Maine, USA. He served in the military in 1917 in World War I. He was described as Lost both legs below knees by train accident while in military in 1918. Elbridge died on 25 October 1960 at the age of 63 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Swan's Island, Oct. 26; Elbridge Simmons, 63, the husband of Mrs. Beatrice (Parker) Simmons, died suddenly Tuesday at his home here.
He was born at Friendship, March 1, 1897, the son of Capt. Gilbert and Annie (Elliott) Simmons.
During his early manhood he served with the Naval Reserve and he later joined the U. S. Army for one year. He served with the Medical Corps at Fort Myer, VA. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church at Minturn.
Besides his widow, survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Roberta Joyce, Mrs. Beverly Morgan and Mrs. Beatricve Lemoine, all of Swan's Island, Mrs. Joyce Knight of Lincolnville and Mrs. David Post of Spruce Head; one stepson, Milton Hennigar of Swan's Island; one brother, John Simmons of Pleasant Gardens; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Sprague of Rockland, and Mrs. Cora Delano of Thomaston; 22 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Advent Christian Church at Minturn with the Rev. Bruce Mathewson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Atlantic.

Death certificate signed by Dr. J. B. Leith Hartman. He was buried on 27 October 1960 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.
