John Walls in command. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Monument A Farmer & fisherman. Came from Stillwater, Maine about 1825. Lived at Frenchboro for a time. Lived on 'Trask Point' at Swan's Island. Lost at sea on schooner Henry Clay. A man of a considerable memory. Studied French history among other subjects. Taught school at Swan's Island.

Staples, daughter of Abel Eaton Staples and Rebecca Biber Whitmore, was born on 14 April 1814 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 30 November 1888 at the age of 74 in Gott's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She was buried in Gott's Island, Tremont, Maine, USA.1 Had three 'Moore' children all of whom didn't reach adulthood.
