268. Howard Noyes Cleveland was born on 6 October 1930 in Stonington, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 3 December 2006 at the age of 76. HOWARD N. He was born October 6, 1930, in Stonington, the son of the late Charles W. and Natalie (Noyes) Cleveland.
Howdy served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was formerly a member of the Masons. He was one of the first members of the Stonington Lobster Co-Op. His father, Charles, was one of the founding members of the Co-Op.
Howdy loved spending time with his family and especially spending time with his grandsons. He spent most of his life lobster fishing, on his boat, Playmate. Howdy loved being on the ocean.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Thompson) Cleveland; three children, Bonnie Heanssler, and her husband, Richard, Garry Cleveland, and Marie Hutchinson, and her husband, Blaine; six grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Brent, Kristel, Casey, and Garry; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Judith Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Michael Shepard, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2006, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home in Stonington (www.bragdonkelley.com). He served in the military in U. S. Marines. Howard was a Lobster Fisherman. He was buried in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Deer Isle.
