239. Reginald Leroy Greenlaw was born on 9 January 1911 at Oceanville in Stonington, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He was educated about 1927 in Stonington High School. He died on 13 September 2008 at the age of 97 at Island Nursing Home in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. REGINALD LEROY GREENLAW STONINGTON - Reginald Leroy Greenlaw, 97, husband of the late Gertrude (Smith) Greenlaw, died Sept. 13, 2008, at a Deer Isle health care facility. He was born Jan. 9, 1911, in Stonington, the son of Leroy and Stella (Powers) Greenlaw. Reginald graduated from Stonington High School. After graduation he went to work on the Lone Star, a Singer yacht. Then in 1930 he came back to Stonington and started Square Deal Garage, around 1935 he started selling oil, by bringing tanks of oil across the Eggemoggin thoroughfare by Indian motorcycle. Then when World War II started, he went to South Portland shipyard and worked as "lead man." Regi-nald returned to Deer Isle/ Stonington in 1946, to continue serving the local people with his garage and oil business. Through the years he ran many successful businesses including: Square Deal Auto Sales, GE Appliance dealer, airplane pilot, Mobil oil distributor, Palmer Day Boats No. 1-4, in which he was well known for around the country. He is survived by two sons, Bruce Greenlaw and his friend, Judy Radner, of Stonington and Paul Greenlaw and his wife, Judy, of Sunset; a granddaughter, Patricia Boutilier and her husband, Michael, of Sunset; a grandson, Dr. Paul R. Greenlaw and his wife, Heather, of Wilson, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Douglas and Sarah Boutilier; a beloved sister-in-law, Frances Greenlaw; nieces, Pamela Steele of Brooklin and Susan Pluhar of Graz; a nephew, Skip Greenlaw of Stonington; a special friend, Ethelda Eaton of Stonington. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence P. Greenlaw; and his sister, Barbara and her husband, Don Webb. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Thurlow's Hill, Stonington, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, with the Rev. Theodore Hoskins of Sunbeam Mission Boat, officiating. Interment will be at Oceanville Cemetery, Stonington. Reginald Leroy Greenlaw and Genice Arlene Noyes were married on 4 March 1937 in Camden, Knox County, Maine, USA. They were divorced. Genice Arlene Noyes, daughter of Benjamin Lake Noyes and Linnie Howard, was born on 9 May 1918 in Stonington, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 4 November 2003 at the age of 85 at Island Nursing Home in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She was buried on 7 November 2003 in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Deer Isle.

Reginald Leroy Greenlaw and Gertrude Smith were married. Gertrude Smith, daughter of Charles H. Smith and Katherine A. Guppy, was born on 29 April 1914 in Chelsea, Massachusetts, USA. She died on 1 January 1989 at the age of 74 in Blue Hill Hospital, Maine, USA. She was buried in Evergreen cemetery, Oceanville, Maine. Gertrude was buried in Mount Rest cemetery, Burnt Cove, Stonington.
