Descendants of Swan's Island's Peter Powers

This summary has been derived from information in Dr. H. W. Small's 'History of Swan's Island' published in 1898.
Peter Powers bought Western Calf Island, containing 256 acres, for $750, September 21, 1822. Did he live there or on Swan's Island at any time? Dr. Small makes no other comments about Mr. Powers in his book. Rev. Peter Powers of Deer Isle was dead by 1800 as was his son who served in the Revolutionary War, so the purchaser must have been either another descendent of the Rev. or some other Peter Powers entirely. Capt. Peter Powers, son of Dr. Moody Powers was not born until November 1814, so is unlikely to be purchasing significant property at age of 9 years. We document here the descendents of Capt. Peter Powers, father of Deer Isle's Rev. Peter Powers.
