He was born here October 25, 1907, son of William and Hattie (Matthews) Martin.
Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Bessie Scott of Rockland, Mrs. Jeanie Burns, Mrs. Rose Staples and Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, all of Swan's Island, Mrs. Addie Burgess, Mrs. Mary Oxton, Biddeford; two brothers, Benjamin of Vinalhaven and Abbott of Boston.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Advent Christian Church of Swan's Island, the Rev. Linwood Louden officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Unmarried.
